Community Events & Excursions

Our community events and excursions provide participants with opportunities to socialise, build confidence, and connect with others who share similar interests within a safe and supportive environment.

Safe, Structured, And Supportive

In addition to 1:1 support, we run semi-regular community events and excursions for participants who want opportunities to socialise and connect with others who share similar interests. These events are typically billed at a 1:2 ratio. These events are designed as a natural extension of individual support—not a replacement for it.

Community activities focus on:

  • Practising social skills in real-world settings
  • Building friendships through shared interests
  • Gaining confidence navigating community spaces
  • Feeling part of a group, without pressure to perform
  • Examples may include:
  • Group gaming sessions or tournaments
  • Arcade visits, conventions, or themed outings
  • Café catch-ups, movies, or casual social events

Support workers are always present to provide guidance and reassurance while encouraging independence and choice.
