IN HOUSE RULES
This is a non-exhaustive list of expectations for attending GameSpec and for being a member of our Discord server. (Obviously we can't list every single tiny rule, so we ask people to use human decency and respect in all interactions, first and foremost. Staff reserve the right to introduce or change rules, accordingly.)
- Respect Others: Treat everyone with kindness and respect. We will not be tolerating any sort of harassment, bullying, or discrimination at GameSpec or on our Discord server. Anyone who cannot be kind and respectful will be banned from the Server.
- Keep it Clean: Maintain a tidy space and ensure your belongings are placed out of the way. Dispose of rubbish and recycling properly. Return any dishes you have to the kitchen. Please keep liquids sealed around the PCs.
- Use Equipment Responsibly: Handle all resources and gaming equipment with care, including boardgames, puzzles, Lego, etc. Report any damage or issues to a staff member immediately. Any rough handling of equipment is not okay and you will be asked to take a break if we see any disrespect for equipment.
- Follow Time Limits: Be mindful of time limits on equipment, such as the VR Headset, to ensure everyone gets a chance to play. Also, be mindful of when your session is ending, and wrap up you gaming 5 minutes before the end of your session, to allow us to clean the space for the next person in time for their session to start.
- Stay Calm: If you feel overwhelmed, take a break in the sensory calming space. Rage quitting and swearing at games or other people is not acceptable.
- Follow the Code of Conduct: Adhere to the GameSpec's code of conduct at all times for a positive and safe experience for all members.
- Report Issues: If you encounter any problems or have concerns, inform a staff member right away.
- Have Fun: Enjoy your time and make new friends!
